A Seagrass Advisory Group has been set up with representatives from Department of Transport, City of Busselton, Port Geographe Landowners Association, Western Beach Residents Association and Wonnerup Residents Association. The Group provides advice to DoT in relation to Seagrass on Western Beach, erosion of Wonnerup Beach, dredging of the entrance to Port Geographe and the Lagoon. Actions in 2021 saw the best outcome in decades for the Western Beach. Finding a solution to the erosion at Wonnerup remains a challenge. See February 2022 Waters Edge for more details.
